Taser lands big order from London Police for 22K body-worn cameras

Taser announced today that it will ship 22,000 body-worn cameras to the London Metropolitan Police. The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday that Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Taser recently completed a pilot program with the London Police that helped the department reduce its officer complaints by 33 percent. Shares of Taser were up nearly 6 percent on Tuesday following the news. Taser’s body-worn camera development takes place at its office in Seattle, where Axon, a business unit of Taser, just opened a new office with more than 50 employees who are developing a cloud-based service and wearable cameras used by police departments across the world.… Read More
