Report: Amazon to launch standalone music streaming service, challenging Spotify and Apple

Amazon, the e-commerce giant that continues to redefine what it means to be “an everything store,” is reportedly launching a stand-alone music streaming service.

According to Reuters, Amazon will offer the service for $ 9.99 per month, matching Spotify’s current price. The Seattle tech titan is finalizing deals with labels, the report says.

Musician David Lowery sues Spotify for “unlawfully” distributing music
