Amazon, the e-commerce giant that continues to redefine what it means to be “an everything store,” is reportedly launching a stand-alone music streaming service.

According to Reuters, Amazon will offer the service for $ 9.99 per month, matching Spotify’s current price. The Seattle tech titan is finalizing deals with labels, the report says.

Amazon already offers Prime Music, a streaming service with about one million songs, to its Prime members. But a separate music offering would put Amazon more directly in competition with other giants in the space — namely Spotify and Apple Music.

The new streaming service comes as Amazon continues to beef up the capabilities of its smart speaker, Amazon Echo, and Alexa, the AI personality that powers it. In January, The New York Post speculated that a the monthly price of a standalone Amazon music streaming service would be lower when bundled with the Echo.

Amazon will launch its Spotify competitor in late summer or early fall, according to Reuters.
